Granulated Garlic: why 153 g per cup is wrong
USDA FoodData Central Branded — 100% Organic Granulated Garlic with Parsley (Morton & Bassett) publishes 153 g per US cup of granulated garlic. This site rejects that figure and publishes 160 g instead, from Chef's Resources — Dry Spice Yields chart (density 0.6772 g/mL, matching the composition of the substance). The reason:
Product is a garlic-plus-parsley blend rather than pure granulated garlic; the added herb changes the composition and the density does not describe the ingredient this entry covers.
The arithmetic

I built SwapGenie for the problem this site cannot solve: the label. It reads a barcode, scores the product against your own allergens and diet rather than a generic grade, and suggests what to buy instead. Android now, iOS in progress.
