Marshmallow Creme: why 123 g per cup is wrong
King Arthur Baking Ingredient Weight Chart publishes 123 g (4.3 oz) per US cup of marshmallow creme. This site rejects that figure. The sources it accepts put a cup at 96–104 g (3.4–3.7 oz), and it publishes that range rather than a single figure. The reason:
Store-bought marshmallow spread is the same corn syrup, sugar and egg-white foam as Fluff, and the jar labels weigh 2 tablespoons at 12 or 13 g, 96-104 g per cup, in line with Durkee-Mower's slightly more than 3 oz per cup. 123 g per cup is 0.52 g/mL, 18-28% heavier than the labels. A level cup reaches that only if the foam is pressed and partly collapsed. King Arthur's chart lists the same product a second time, as Marshmallow Fluff, at 128 g.

We built SwapGenie for the problem this site cannot solve: the label. It reads a barcode, scores the product against your own allergens and diet rather than a generic grade, and suggests what to buy instead. On Android now; iOS on February 15, 2027.
