Graham Cracker Crumbs
One US cup of graham cracker crumbs weighs 102.4 grams. Going the other way, 100 grams is about 0.98 cups.
Also called graham cracker crumbs, graham crumbs, crushed graham crackers, graham cracker crumb, graham crust crumbs.
Most sites print a number for a cup of graham cracker crumbs and do not say where it came from. This page publishes 102.4 g and names all three sources it was checked against: Nabisco Honey Maid Graham Cracker Crumbs, USDA FoodData Central Branded Foods (UPC 044000002183), Keebler Graham Cracker Crumbs (USDA Branded) and King Arthur Baking Ingredient Weight Chart.

Where this number comes from
One cup of graham cracker crumbs weighs about 102 grams (0.432 g/mL). Nabisco Honey Maid, Keebler, and King Arthur Baking all converge at 100 to 102 grams per cup at label precision. A widely-cited 84 g/cup figure from the BakeGrams converter cites 'King Arthur Baking and USDA food database references' as its source but matches neither — the correct figure across every authority is close to 102, not 84.
Graham cracker crumbs are sold pre-crushed in 13.5-ounce canisters (Nabisco Honey Maid and Keebler are the two dominant US brands) or produced at home by crushing whole graham crackers in a food processor or a zip-top bag with a rolling pin. Ingredients across brands are essentially the same: enriched wheat flour, graham flour (whole-grain wheat), sugar, an oil (canola, palm, or soybean), honey, leavening, salt, and lecithin. The crumb texture varies from very fine dust to coarse fragments depending on brand and crushing method.
USDA Branded Food Data has records for multiple graham cracker crumb products, all in the 108-110 g per metric cup range, which converts to 102-104 g per US cup. The Nabisco Honey Maid label itself (UPC 044000002183) prints a serving size of 2.5 tablespoons (16 g) — that back-calculates directly to 102 grams per cup at density 0.433 g/mL. King Arthur Baking's Ingredient Weight Chart lists graham cracker crumbs at 100 grams per cup and equates that to '6 to 7 whole crackers.' The two figures agree within 2%, well under the 10% milled category tolerance.
Whole graham crackers as sold: a single full Nabisco Honey Maid rectangle weighs about 14 to 15 grams. Six to seven crackers therefore give 90 to 105 grams of crumbs, which is where KA's 100 g/cup figure comes from and why it lines up with the pre-crushed 102 figure. When crushing at home, degree of grinding matters: very fine dust-like crumbs pack denser (a scoop reads 105-110 g/cup) and coarse fragments pack looser (85-95 g/cup). Store-bought pre-crushed products are uniformly fine and sit reliably at 102.
For cheesecake and pie crust math, the classic ratio is 1.5 cups crumbs to 5 tablespoons melted butter and 2-3 tablespoons sugar for a 9-inch springform pan. At 102 g/cup, that is 153 g crumbs, 70 g butter, 25-40 g sugar — a butter-to-crumb ratio around 0.46 that produces a crust that holds together when sliced but does not turn greasy. Using BakeGrams' 84 g/cup would call for 126 g of crumbs and would leave the butter overbalanced, producing a crust that pools fat during pre-baking and slips off the pan when sliced. Using KA's 100 g/cup rather than 102 makes no practical difference.
Common substitutions all sit near the same density band. Digestive biscuits (McVitie's) can substitute 1:1 by weight at about 100 g per cup crushed. Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafer crumbs are darker and less sweet but similarly dense (~100 g/cup). Vanilla wafer crumbs (Nabisco Nilla) run slightly lighter at about 85-90 g/cup and produce a more crumbly, less structured crust. For gluten-free bakes, gluten-free graham-style crackers from Kinnikinnick or Pamela's approximate the density but may need slightly more butter to bind well because gluten-free flour absorbs fat less efficiently.

Second major branded source at essentially the same density.
- King Arthur Baking Ingredient Weight Chart100 g per cupChart states 'Graham cracker crumbs (store-bought or crushed from whole) 1 cup (6 to 7 crackers) = 3.5 oz = 100 g'. 100 g / 236.588 mL = 0.4227 g/mL. Within 2% of the Nabisco/USDA figure, well under the 10% milled category tolerance — KA is correct here and is a supporting source, not a correction target.
