Milled powders and grains
Ground grains, flours, powders and whole seeds: all-purpose flour, whole wheat, cornmeal, cocoa powder, sesame seeds, rice, rolled oats.
This is the category where measurement noise is genuinely large. Powders clump, bridge across the sides of a cup, and pack differently depending on whether the scoop is dipped, spoon-and-swept, or sifted-then-spooned. Held to 10% tolerance rather than 5, because narrower would mean publishing on the easy substances and staying silent on exactly the ones people came here to look up. Where sources disagree beyond 10%, the entry publishes the range and names the method behind each figure.
154 ingredients in this category. 74 with a single published figure, 80 published as ranges because sources disagree.

Scan a grocery barcode, get a better version of the same thing.
We built SwapGenie for the problem this site cannot solve: the label. It reads a barcode, scores the product against your own allergens and diet rather than a generic grade, and suggests what to buy instead. On Android now; iOS on February 15, 2027.
